Chadlington lifted the Watts Junior Challenge Cup on Wednesday evening after eventually overcoming Siege FC 2-0.
In front of a 225 strong crowd at Moreton Rangers, Chadlington played well throughout but struggled to beat the Siege keeper. Chances came and went with Siege having a few of their own.
It took until the 75th minute until the deadlock was broken. A shot hit a Siege defender on the arm inside the penalty box and a spot kick was awarded. Jordan Charlesworth stepped up and coolly dispatched. 1-0.
The winning goal also came from the spot as George Slatter was up ended inside the box and he too clinically converted the resulting penalty. 2-0. Full Time.
Team: Foster, A Andrews, Betts, Charlesworth, Bennett (c), Mayne, Tate, Waller, Soanes, Peachey, Korge. Subs: Slatter, Walker, Haynes. Thomas, F Andrews.
