Chadlington First Team got back to winning ways in Division One to lift themselves back into third position on Saturday. They did this with a 2-1 victory over Cassington Rangers.
Division One top scorer Alfie Peachey and Jordan Charlesworth with the Chad goals.
Chadlington Reserves suffered a 3-1 defeat to league favourites Moreton Rangers in Division Two.
An organised and determined display saw the Res 1 nil up at half time through an Ollie Jordan goal. Both sides had deserved penalty claims waived away by Referee David Woodcock.
Early in the second half Chad could’ve made it 2-0 when the special Moreton keeper got finger tips to a Will Gray shot and the follow up from Jack Legg couldn’t be converted.
Just five minutes later Moreton took control and equalised direct from a free kick. Having five good substitutes gave them extra legs and their quality ran out. Chad tired but stuck at it. Moreton scored a further two but could’ve added others.
Given the changes made to the squad and the difference in league form, this was a fantastic effort from the team and gives them confidence for the games ahead.
