Chadlington First Team entertained Bletchington FC on Saturday in Division One and despite the final score being a 0-0 draw, it was surprisingly entertaining!
Both teams came into the game level on points in the league and both had suffered poor previous results. Chad had lost to Combe 4-0 in the Shield and Bletch had lost 6-0 to Hook Norton.
It was then probably not a surprise that both teams shut up shop at the back and came away happy with a draw. That is not to say that both sides did not attack and have chances, because they did.
Chadlington put the ball in the net in the first half but the goal was disallowed by referee Paul Coles and Bletchington smashed the cross bar late in the second half. Harry Ware in goal for Chad and making his first team debut also pulled off a fine one on one save late on to deny the visitors the win.
