It was a double header at Chadlington on Saturday and it was the First Team that kicked off first against Combe in Division One.
Despite Combe sitting at the bottom of the table they started the game bright and looked the more lively of the sides. They went into half time 1-0 up and Chad had not got going.
In the second half Combe doubled their lead and looked comfortable in the game until Josh Chadbund reduced the deficit to 2-1. Chad had further chances but could not find the equaliser.
FT 2-1 to Combe.
Chadlington Reserves hosted Leafield Reserves in the second game of the day and had a more comfortable afternoon.
A first half goal from centre back Kevin Mulhearn took Chad into the break 1-0 up. It was an even game and played in good spirits.
In the second half, Leafield came out strong and had a series of chances to level the game. However late in the game Chad doubled their lead when the sprightly Daniel Cleevely flew into a diving header from a Callum Jefferies cross in front of the crowd behind the goal.
Full time 2-0 and Chad climb the league into second place.
